Constipation Cubes may just be what you or your childs is missing to have a wonderful bowl movement and to stay regular! And dare I say, these are freaking delish without any added sugar….all you need are 3 simple ingredietns!

How Beets Help with Constipation

Fiber: Beets are rich in dietary fiber, which adds bulk to stool, helps it move through the digestive tract, and prevents constipation.
Betaine: This compound found in beets can improve digestive function and regularity.
Probiotics: Fermented beets contain beneficial bacteria that enhance digestion and reduce gas, bloating, and constipation
Prebiotic Effects: Phytonutrients in beets act as prebiotics, feeding healthy gut bacteria and boosting overall gut health

How prunes help with ConstipationFiber: Prunes are a great source of both soluble (pectin) and insoluble fiber.

Insoluble fiber adds bulk to stool, helping it move through the intestines more quickly.

Soluble fiber helps soften the stool by absorbing water.

Sorbitol: This sugar alcohol has a natural laxative effect. It is not well absorbed by the small intestine and draws water into the colon, which softens stool and stimulates bowel movements.
Polyphenols: Prunes also contain polyphenols, such as chlorogenic and neochlorogenic acids, which may also contribute to their beneficial effects on gut health and motility.

How Cocoa Helps with Constipation

Fiber: Adds bulk and helps food move through the digestive tract.
Magnesium: A natural laxative that helps relax intestinal muscles and draw water into the colon.
Prebiotics: Feeds beneficial gut bacteria, promoting a healthy microbiome.
Cacao proteins: Indigestible proteins in cacao can promote defecation.

Why chocolate products might cause issues
High amounts of milk and sugar in chocolate bars can slow digestion and replace fiber, making stools harder to pass. That’s why it’s important to only use unsweetened chocoalte such as cacao powder or 100% pure cocoa mass.
