Paleo, keto, gluten free, and candida diet friendly sticky buns! Move over Cinnabon, there’s a new kid in town!
The possibilities are endless with my Probiotic Cacao Protein. Yes, I personally just take it as a “fluff” (see my Instagram story highlights) but I also use it for so many other reasons and ways! Take these 3 ingredient Low Carb Sticky Buns for example.

The protein acts as a flour, giving it bulk without the gluten, carbs, or even nuts (for those with nut allergies – just omit the pecans in this recipe) – and you get loads of protein and probiotics! Win win!
The probiotics I chose to be included in my protein are Bacillus Coagulans, known as one of the strongest probiotics to even help fight off yeast overgrowth, candida, and can withstand heat!
Ingredients:
3 eggs
3 scoops of my cacao protein powder
1/4 tsp baking soda
3 Tbsp water
Garnish:
Pecans
Sauce:
Melt 1/2 cup coconut butter with 2 Tbsp of coconut oil
Instructions:
1. Whip ingredients in a blender (I used my Blendtec Twister Jar – 25% off: lilsipper) then heat a skillet with a little coconut oil and pour a little bit of the batter into the skillet and cooke as you would pancakes, flipping when bubbles start to pop at the top (about 40 seconds each side depending on the level of heat your stove is on). They should be thin pancakes.
- Slice “pancakes” into strips then roll into pinwheels overlapping each strip until you get your desired size. Repeat for each roll as you place each one in a pan with desired amount of pecans. Cover with sauce and heat in oven for a few minutes to warm, OR place unsauced rolls in freezer to chill then glaze with sauce as I did here.
