3 RECALLS: Organic Baby Foods, Cold Brew Coffee, Organic Canned Soup

3 Rcalls You Should Know About

1. Popular Baby Fruit Pouches Recalled Nationwide

recall affects popular children’s fruit pouches that were sold across the country. PT Organics Limited voluntarily recalled select pouches due to an internal packaging defect that may cause issues.

What Products Were Recalled?

The company recalled select Pumpkin Tree Peter Rabbit Organics Banana & Strawberry sold in 4-ounce (113 grams) pouches. The affected pouches were sold exclusively through Kroger, Meijer, and Target stores nationwide between March 6, 2026, and July 13, 2026.

The affected pouches contain the barcode 8 15367 01078 0 and lane number 4, printed near the right-hand side seam. They also contain best-before dates of 1/19/2027, 01/20/2027, 03/17/2027, 03/18/2027, 05/14/2027, or 05/15/2027.

Why Were They Recalled?

The children’s fruit pouches were recalled due to an internal packaging defect that the FDA says may result in the presence of a strand of soft, food-grade plastic in the finished product. The defect was discovered during PT Organics’ inspections of the finished product, which confirmed the presence of plastic inside a small number of pouches. The company then issued a voluntary recall. Fortunately, the recall is limited in scope, and no injuries have been reported thus far.

What Should I Do If I Have The Recalled Product?

PT Organics Limited encourages both consumers and caregivers to check their products against the affected barcode, lane number, and best-before dates listed above. Anyone with the recalled product should either dispose of it or return it to their place of purchase. The pouches should not be consumed.

2. Over 180,000 Cans Of Soup Recalled Due To Spoilage Risk

Amy’s Kitchen has voluntarily recalled more than 180,000 cans of soup sold in over 20 U.S. states due to an increased risk of spoilage.

What Products Were Recalled?

Amy’s Kitchen has voluntarily recalled 15,530 cases (each containing 12 cans), or 186,360 cans, of its Organic Lentil Soup – Light in Sodium out of an abundance of caution.

The affected products were sold in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Maine, Missouri, North Carolina, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Nevada, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and in some parts of Canada, as well. The affected cans contain the lot number 60D0924 and a best-before date of April 2027.

Why Were They Recalled?

According to the recall notice, there is an increased risk of spoilage for the affected products. In a statement to USA Today, the company said there is a defect in the cans’ “easy open tab” that could affect the quality of the product. The FDA has issued a Class II recall for this product, which means that consuming it could result in temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences. According to Amy’s Kitchen, no other products are affected by the recall.

What Should I Do If I Have The Recalled Product?

While the FDA’s recall notice does not include explicit instructions, if you have the affected soup in your possession, you should not consume it. Instead, either throw it away or return it to your place of purchase. At this time, it is unclear whether refunds will be issued.

3. 3,000 Gallons Of Cold Brew Recalled Due To Botulism Risk

A new recall may affect your daily dose of caffeine. A craft coffee company is recalling its cold brew concentrate due to possible botulism risk. Luckily, the recall only affects shoppers in two states.

What Products Are Being Recalled?

The Brooklyn Roasting Company has voluntarily recalled 3,000 gallons (approximately 1,219 units) of its Pasteurized Cold Brew Concentrate. The impacted concentrate was distributed in New York and New Jersey between April 1, 2026, and June 20, 2026.

The affected cold brew concentrate contains best-by dates ranging from June 3, 2026, through September 3, 2026, so it may still be in consumers’ refrigerators.

Why Are They Being Recalled?

According to the recall notice, “Ambient storage of the product may lead to Clostridium botulinum toxin formation.” Clostridium botulinum is a potent neurotoxin that causes botulism, a serious and sometimes fatal illness. The toxin attacks the body’s nerves and can cause muscle weakness, difficulty breathing, and even death. If you have any symptoms, you should contact a healthcare provider immediately. However, the FDA has only classified this as a Class II recall, meaning consumption of the product could cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences.

What Should I Do If I Have The Recalled Product?

Due to the serious nature of botulism, anyone who has the affected cold brew concentrate in their possession should not consume it. Instead, you should throw it out or return it to your place of purchase.

If you or anyone you know has signs or symptoms of botulism, you should immediately see your doctor or go to the emergency room.
