Recipe
Carnivore Bean and Cheese Burrito
– 1 carnivore tortilla (recipe below)
– Desired amount of carnivore refried beans (recipe below)
– Desired amount of freshly grated cheese
Carnivore Beans
Ingredients:
– 1 lb of ground meat, turkey, chicken, or chorizo (highly recommend turkey chorizo) or breakfast sausage
– Organic taco seasoning to taste (optional – you may not need it if your ground meat is already seasoned such as chorizo. If using plain, unseasoned ground meat then use it)
– 3/4 cup water
Method:
1. Grease a pan with butter or beef tallow and cook the meat until well done (don’t worry about it fully broken up sine we are blending it below)
2. Once the meat is fully cooked, allow to cool. Once cooled, add all of the meat to a blender or food processor (do not add any liquid) plus taco seasoning (if using) to taste and blend just until it becomes finely minced meat.
3. Remove 1 cup of the minced meat and set aside. Add 3/4 cup of water to the rest of the meat in your blender and continue blending until fully pureed and smooth.
4. Add the pureed meat to the minced meat and mix well. This creates the refried bean texture and consistency or both pureed and finely minced meat. Taste. If you think it needs more seasoning, add more now and just mix it in with a spoon. You now have carnivore refried beans!
Carnivore Egg White Wraps
Makes 1 large tortilla (increase measurements for more)
Ingredients:
– 3 Tbsp egg white powder (not egg white protein powder)
– 9 Tbsp of water
Method:
1. Mix above ingredients in a glass until fully mixed and a bit frothy.
2. Preheat a skillet (I used my Our Place Always non-toxic non-stick pan – discount code: DIGEST) and grease with a little butter or beef tallow.
3. Pour your wrap onto the heated skillet and cook as you would a pancake. Once you see the edges begin to roll up, flip over and continue cooking until both sides are done.
