Chocolate Chili Skillet Brownie

Chili and chocolate pair so well together…especially in brownie form. I like to call this a “Brownookie”. A brownie-like pizookie that’s only sweetened with fruit plus it’s 100% paleo AND vegan!

So much is happening this coming week…who’s ready?

Ingredients:
1 cup almond meal
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 cup pure cacao powder
1 tsp cayenne powder
1/2 Tbsp red chili flakes (or more)
3 Medjool dates
1 large, very ripe banana (about 1 cup sliced)
Santa Barbara unsweetened chocolate (15% off: lilsipper15)

Directions:
1. Mix first 5 ingredients in a bowl.
2. In a bullet type blender, pulse/blend dates and banana until smooth.
3. Add puree to bowl of dry ingredients and mix with spoon until it become a “dough”.
4. Transfer batter into a small, non-stick baking pan, top w/chocolate chunks, and bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees F.

*Perfect paired with some vanilla ice cream to compliment the chili.
