Anyone remember Cocoa Krispies cereal? Well I’m bringing it back! (without the refined sugar, dextrose, flavorings, and chemicals). You in?
For this, I used puffed rice cereal (finally found one with just 1 ingredient!)
And instead of raw honey, I used date syrup because date syrup actually obtains it’s nutrients in high heat as opposed to raw honey….when heated, all the amazing living enzymes are killed in the honey (that’s why I save it for unheated applications and prefer to use date syrup in baking – though I have still been known to use raw honey but it’s basically there just for sweetness, nothing else)
And to keep this nut free, I used organic Sunbutter (tastes like peanut butter and is just 1 ingredient! – no salt, added oils or sugar!)

And last but not least, Further Food Chocolate Collagen added for:
• Protein
• Gut healing benefits
• Chocolate-y goodness
Ingredients:
1 tsp coconut oil (or ghee for nut free)
3 Tbsp date syrup (15% off: lilsipper15 – expires 3/31/19)
1 1/2 Tbsp organic Sunbutter
1 scoop of Further Food Chocolate Collagen (code: lilsipper)
2 cups puffed brown rice (I used this brand – just 1 ingredient!)
Instructions:
1. Pre-heat oven to 300 F.
2. Melt coconut first 3 ingredients until it forms a sauce, then stir in collagen.
3. Mix puffed rice with sauce then spread out on a lined baking sheet.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, moving rice around half way through baking. IMPORTANT: Allow to cool completely. Cooling makes them crispy. Store in an airtight container.
