Creamy Vanilla Ice Cream Shake

 

I won’t stop making these healthy desserts you can enjoy for dinner, breakfast, lunch and yes, even dessert! A smoothie a day keeps the constipation at bay! LOL But seriously, this particular “vanilla shake” can actually help you if you’re constipated from the ingredients used!

Cottage cheese helps keep you full and loaded with protein

Pears are known to help soften stools and help you have a healthy bowl movement

Ice and cucumber are loaded with water and super hydrating which can help when constipated

Bethany’s Pantry DSP (Digestive Support Protein) is known to help with constipation among many of my Instagram followers (and myself!). Ingredients:
1/2 cup cottage cheese
5 ice cubes
1 cup frozen cucumber (skins removed & chopped)
1 frozen pear (chopped)

Splash of milk of choice

Method:
Add above ingredients in the order listed to a blender and blend until smooth. You may have to stop half way through blending and scrape down the sides. And if it’s too hard to blend, add more milk as needed (but if you add too much it won’t be super thick and creamy so add a tiny bit at a time!). Once creamy, add 1-2 Tbsp of red cacao powder and stir it in to create a marble effect (it also tastes amazing when you get a BURST of cacao in your mouth while enjoying your shake). Pour into a cup and enjoy!
