Here it is! The Grain Free, Nut Free, Paleo, Keto Friendly, 4-Ingredient BREAD I made in my Instagram stories yesterday. And it gets even better…..it’s also Yeast Free!
I was so pleasantly surprised at how light and fluffy this bread came out, given there’s absolutely NO flour, nut meal, etc.
*** UPDATE *** 10/9/17
Yesterday I baked another loaf using the exact same recipe and uploaded some pics below. The original pictures (still included) were taken right after it came out of the oven which is why it still is tan / green. The super green bread shown below was baked yesterday…it came out the same as the original photo, the only different is that I allowed it to sit in the fridge for 2 hours. Case in point, it get’s greener as you allow the bread to chill in the fridge.
*I personally store my breads in the freezer (they thaw pretty fast) and they stay good for up to two weeks (but I doubt it will last that long!).
Great for:
• Sandwiches
• Croutons
• French Toast
• Toasts of all kind…the list goes on. Get on this yo!
Ingredients:
1 cup Organic Sunbutter
4 eggs
1 Tbsp Fire Cider (discount: lilsipper)
1 tsp baking soda
Directions:
1. Whisk all ingredients in a stand mixer (or by hand) until well combined.
2. Distribute batter into either 2 small loaf pans or 1 standard (make sure they’re lined with parchment paper or lightly oiled).
3. Bake 350 F. for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. *Allow to cool before slicing.
Why is it green?
The chlorogenic acid (chlorophyll) in sunflower seeds reacts with the baking soda when baked, causing the green color. This is completely harmless and I think it’s kinda cool! (great for St. Patty’s Day)
