Homemade Fruit Loops!

HOMEMADE FRUIT LOOPS!
Did you know that all Fruit Loop colors taste the same? I never realized that when I was a kid…another thing I never realized were the ingredients in them!

Original Fruit Loops cereal ingredients:

Corn flour blend (whole grain yellow corn flour, degerminated yellow corn flour), sugar, wheat flour, whole grain oat flour, modified food starch, contains 2% or less of vegetable oil (hydrogenated coconut, soybean and/or cottonseed), oat fiber, maltodextrin, salt, soluble corn fiber, natural flavor, red 40, yellow 5, blue 1, yellow 6, BHT for freshness.Vitamins and Minerals: Vitamin C (ascorbic acid), reduced iron, niacinamide, vitamin B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride), vitamin B2 (riboflavin), vitamin B1 (thiamin hydrochloride), folic acid, vitamin D3, vitamin B12.

 

So here’s my 5 ingredient, simple and easy way to mimic the original that your kids and the kid inside us all can enjoy!

Ingredients:
Green: Further Food superfood matcha (code: lilsipper)
Yellow: Further Food Turmeric Tonic (code: lilsipper)
Pink: elderberry powder
Blue: blue spirulina powder
Plain, unsweetened cereal of choice (I used THIS CEREAL)

Method:
Using separate bags for each color, shake cereal with each powder until coated. Serve with milk or top your smoothies!
