A root vegetable similar in texture to a turnip with a taste closer to an apple. Can be eaten raw or cooked (just not the skin as it’s inedible).
Jicama contains a special type of fiber infused with oligofructose inulin, which has zero calories and doesn’t metabolize in the body. Inulin is a prebiotic which promotes good bacteria growth in the gut!
