These brownies are made from something that can help reduce water retention and bloating! So these brownies are perfect for your period cravings (and physical feelings).
No bananas. No eggs. No dairy. No nuts. No fruit. No avocado. No squash. No cauliflower!

Yes, the main ingredient are beets!

BENEFITS OF BEETS FOR MENSTRUATION

Beets are a good iron source, which your body depletes rapidly when you bleed. It’s also rich in beta-carotene and antioxidants, promotes flow of blood to the uterus and reduces cramping. Iron is also a key mineral that is necessary for healthy red blood cells. Helping your body to generate more hemoglobin by having this iron-rich drink just makes sense.

Beets have also been shown to aid in the conversion of nitrite to Nitric Oxide, which is an important vasodilator that helps increase circulation throughout the body, including the uterus.

Beets can also help reduce water retention and bloating, something which women commonly experience during periods.

Ingredients:
1 package of pre-steamed beets (such as Love Beets brand or Trader Joe’s also sells them)
1/2 cup of red cacao powder (code: lilsipper)
1/2 cup of my Nuzest Digestive Support Cacao Protein Powder (no protein substitutions)

Method:
Blend above ingredients until smooth. Transfer batter to a small baking dish and bake at 350 F for about 30 minutes. Allow to cool before topping with (optional) frosting and slicing.

Greek yogurt mixed with cacao powder
Nut butter
Sprinkles
Flakey sea salt
Nuts
Chocolate chips
