LET’S TALK GUT HEALTH
Q: Why do I eat so many smoothies?
A: They give your gut a break. When food is pureed, your digestive system doesn’t have to work as hard to break down the food, allowing your body to “save” energy. Yes, it take ENERGY for your body to break down food. Not only that, but if you don’t chew well, small particles may get stuck in your gut (diverticulitis) causing inflammation, bloating, gas, and causing food to sit and rot inside your stomach. This happens when you have HOLES AND POCKETS IN YOUR GUT.
Q: Do I have to eat smoothies still now that my gut is better?
A: No. Do you wash your car every day? It’s called “upkeep.” Once it’s cleaned from being in the mud, you just have to maintain the cleanliness. Same with your gut. If you don’t maintain it, “dirt” will accumulate overtime just like a car get’s dirty over time. If you wash your car every day (aka: ate a smoothie every day) you keep it at it’s optimum. The better oil and soap you use, the better your car will be…..one of the “soaps” I love using for my gut is gelatin and collagen to help heal and heal my gut. I’ve been taking it for literally years and will continue to forever. Further Food is the brand I have been using and prefer. I’m not telling you to go out and buy it or that it’s the only one out there that will help, but it’s what’s helped me personally so for me, why change something if it’s not broken? So weather you get Further Food or a different brand, make sure it’s grass-fed, pasture raised, contains no fillers, sugars, or flavorings, and is just 1 SINGLE INGREDIENT. My goal is to not only help you have an optimum gut, but an optimum life to live!
