If brownies and the Twix candy bar had a baby, these TWIX BROWNIE BARS would be it! This is a thick, moist, chewy brownie topped with a soft caramel then coated with a chocolate shell!
…..BUT IT’S HEALTHY! and requires no baking and no “waiting for it to set”! You literally mix the ingredients, layer, coat, then eat! Oh, and did I mention these are only sweetened with fruit? AND vegan! AND paleo! I mean, they just keep getting better!

Brownie Layer:
1/2 cup of my Digestive Support Cacao Protein Powder (no substitutions)
1/2 cup of BLACK cacao powder (code: lilsipper)
6 Tbsp of cashew butter
3/4 cup non-dairy milk
Caramel Layer:
Date Paste (no exact measurements)
Chocolate Coating:
Unsweetened melted chocolate (code: lilsipper)

Method:
Mix protein powder and cacao powder in a large bowl, then add cashew butter and milk. Mix well until a dough forms. Transfer dough into a small dish (lined with wax or parchment for easy removal) and press down firmly. Press desired amount of date paste firmly over brownie layer and place in freezer while you melt the chocolate. Remove from freezer and slice. Drizzle melted chocolate over slices and top with flaked sea salt if preferred.
